SUCCESS FOR SEAHAM SQUADRON!

We are proud to announce that 1338 (Seaham) Squadron has been announced as the best squadron overall in Durham Northumberland Wing Air Cadets, following the inspections carried our earlier this year.

Each year, all squadrons in the wing are inspected by their sector commander on both their administration and the cadet experience on offer. The squadron scored 98.4% in the Pusey Trophy, awarded for the highest standard of administration, (placing joint first) and first in the Durham Trophy for cadet experience and activities, with 82.0%. The results from both competitions go towards the Lindisfarne Trophy, awarded to the best squadron in the wing, which was awarded to 1338.

Flying Officer McCully RAFAC, Officer Commanding 1338 (Seaham) Squadron said “Congratulation to all of the Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and Cadets for their hard work and performance over the year – it took a team effort to achieve this and would not be possible without the dedication demonstrated by all.”

The trophies will be formally presented at this year’s Wing Presentation Evening to be held in November.
