The squadron was recently awarded a grant worth £2,500 from the County Durham Community Foundation. With this money, the squadron has purchased a vast amount of Adventure Training kit including rucksacks, tents, sleeping bags, compasses and map cases.
The new kit enables our cadets to operate safely, efficiently and comfortably when out on adventure training exercises, especially Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Hopefully our cadets will be using the new kit to complete their Duke of Edinburgh awards of all levels over the next few months.
The squadron would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of the County Durham Community Foundation and to REG Windpower South Sharpley Community Benefits Fund for support of the squadron.
